We were appointed to design a low-cost, low-maintenance, energy-efficient retirement home in the Scottish countryside, which complemented its stunning surroundings.
Designed in the style of a traditional Scottish crofter’s cottage, but with much more extensive accommodation, the house is built on a raised platform with distant views across mature trees and gardens.
Heated with an air-source pump and log burner the house provides a wonderfully cosy retreat with very low running costs.
